The details...
Groundswell presents: KANA by Candlelight as part of the Cream of Cornish Weekender at BeNewquay Festival...
KANA With seven female members, a raft of rousing self-penned songs and a knack for bringing fresh harmonic inspiration to traditional pieces, KANA is one of the hottest local bands of the moment. With 2023-2024 packed with festival appearances (including Tunes in the Dunes, Great Estate and Rock Oyster), as well as support slots for Fisherman’s Friends and Angeline Morrison, an evening in their mellifluous company (amidst the flickering candles) is not to be missed!
With support from The Gleaves... THE GLEAVES
The Gleaves are a husband and wife Americana/Folk duo travelling in their campervan and sharing their music along the way. From festival to festival, busking pitch to busking pitch, the warmth and flow of Chloe's smooth voice blended with the confident power of Josh’s sets you in between a vocal air of ease and excitement. Soaring chords and energetic lead is glued with delicately confident finger picking. A life on the road together with their guitars delivers many a story to tell through both of their songwriting, combining influences of the roots genres to create a unique blend.
